GSInnovate Extended MRP Application Suite :: Detail Capacity Planning
Providing the tools to easily react to planning activity in GSInnovate
Enables Production Planning and Manufacturing Management to understand how the demand for capacity from manufacturing orders is mapped against actual capacities. This knowledge in turn provides the ability to schedule manufacturing orders with the resources required to meet customer demand.
Detail Capacity Planning
Detail Capacity Planning (DCP) provides visibility of the shop load based on the schedules that have been generated by the planning applications in GSInnovate. This module allows the user to change the plan based on the capacity limits in the system or to adjust the capacity to make the plan.
Detail Capacity Planning interfaces with the planning applications to provide the user a view of the load that has been created based on the firm schedule that is necessary to meet a company's commitments. The user will have visibility of conflicts and the ability to deliver when compared to the plan being generated. For example, a work order may have a start and completion date established which meets the requirements of the material planning activity but based on capacity the dates may not be the same. Detail Capacity Planning will give the user the opportunity to react to this type of situation. They may use Detail Capacity Planning to plan the load for an alternate work center or establish a different priority for an order. The Detail Capacity Planning module is able to test real load, work orders and repetitive schedules but also consider computer planned orders generated by GSInnovate's Master Production Scheduling / Material Requirements Planning. Using this tool a user can look at capacity requirements many months into the future.
